Egyptian Ambassador to Korea Hazem M. Fahmy made a visit to KAIST on July 17 and had a meeting with President Sung-Chul Shin. During the meeting, Amb.Fahmy sought for expanded partnership between KAIST and Egypt. The Egyptian ambassador expressed the hope to establish the advanced science and technology institute in Egypt with the help of KAIST. Amb.Famey said the advanced science and technology institute will benefit the students not only from Egypt but from Africa and Arab countries. Saying that it is very inspiring to see KAIST has become a role model in disseminating education and research innovation worldwide, President Shin added what should be done internally first to realize such innovation and said he will do his utmost to get realized the innovation initiativein Egypt. Director of the Egypt National Training Academy Rascha Ragheb also attend the meeting.
