Professor Meeyoung Cha’s team from the School of Computing analyzed the number of classes KAIST has offered from 1973 to 2019. The total number of classes stands at 39,448 now from 30 in 1973.
The curriculum trend shows how KAIST embraced domestic and global industrial development. The trend signifies that KAIST has continued to foster the talents needed for emerging industries while preparing for the future.

The number of electronics and electrical classes drastically increased in the mid-1990s and late 2000s as highly advanced electronics and electricaltechnologies and products were becoming so important in the global market.

The number of classes of the School of Computing has increased from late 1990s and late 2000s. Domestic bio and electronic industries has seen the phenomenal growth in the 2010s.
